Welcome to the immediate local playground surrounding Manatee Oaks—your ultimate Nature Coast adventure basecamp.
Keep your camera ready! You don't even have to leave the immediate streets within a mile of our property to feel like you've stepped directly into a nature documentary.
The Moss-Canopy Stroll: Enjoy quiet morning walks or evening bike voyages, right down the street under towering, majestic live oaks heavily draped in Spanish moss.
Roaming Wildlife: Keep your eyes peeled! Local white-tailed deer roam completely free beneath the historic trees, frequently grazing along the peaceful neighborhood pastures just a mile from your front door.
Bringing your boat, jet skis, or ATVs? Your mechanical gear is fully protected under our spacious 20' x 24' covered carport and secondary trailer drive. Here are the closest marine gates to drop your hull into the water:
Inglis Barge Canal Public Boat Ramp — The Offshore Captain’s Advantage ⚓
Distance by Land: 3.1 miles (8 minutes away).
Distance by Water to Open Gulf: A scenic, completely straight 5.5-mile boat ride down the canal.
The Vibe: Massive, commercial-grade, multi-lane concrete ramp with unrestricted deep-water access. This is your absolute closest launch point—it completely bypasses winding river speed zones, getting you to the legendary open-Gulf scalloping grounds and offshore fishing fields faster than anywhere else in the county.
Lake Rousseau & Inglis Dam Boat Ramp — Freshwater Monster Bass Gateway
Distance by Land: 2.1 miles (5 minutes away).
The Vibe: Drops you straight into the freshwater backwaters of Lake Rousseau. This is a world-class destination for chasing legendary largemouth bass, casual pontoon cruising, and exploring prehistoric, cypress-lined waters.
Withlacoochee Boat Ramp (at lower side of Inglis Dam)
Distance by Land: 2.3 miles (7 minutes away).
The Vibe: This lower launch delivers incredible dual-nature fishing opportunities! Since it sits directly below the spillway gate, the water here is highly influenced by both fresh spillway flows and incoming Gulf tides, creating a hotbed for targeting both freshwater and saltwater species. Scenic boat path straight out to Yankeetown and the open Gulf.
